paying £7.45 a month as im an O2 phone customer

dl = 16 mb during peak time
ul = 1.3 mb during peak time

Did Exibit's link too and got

Dload: 1576 Kbps
Uload: 127 Kbps

:S New ISP i think, Orange appear to be a tad on the slow side

see i dont get that.. u must be on the 8meg package then, while we're still on 2meg

yeah just phoned orange, we're on my dads free home broadband. 2meg connection lol... wow thats shite lol

which is odd because i just checked BT's website to see if we can get a better package and i just checked my postcode to see what the sorta Broadband we can get in my area and i quote
We've just tested your line and can confirm your line supports the UK's most complete broadband package, BT Total Broadband. We estimate your maximum connection speed to be up to 1.0 Mbps (Megabits per second).

The actual speed you get could be lower and is dependent on several factors such as whether you have any internal home wiring, our network management policy and the number of people using the Internet at the same time. Upload: 243 kbps

Thats on a 3Mb limit i think..

Switched to "UPC" recently from "eircom" and they are WAY faster and WAY cheaper :D

Lol, mines not bad for where I am. It'd be even better if I was closer to the exchange and my wiring was better.

According to O2, at their end they are providing 5.7mbps.

It's half the price of what I was paying for Pipex but 3x faster :lol:
