Who would recomend this for the start of a new build PC

I am going to be building a new gaming PC so that I can play the latest games out there.

QUAD CORE Phenom X4 Nvidia Board Bundle 2GB DDR2 Memory
http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=383843

700W X-Power ATX SLI PSU
http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=97107

NVIDIA GeForce GT220 1GB PCI-E Graphics Card
http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=352096

It will take me a couple of months to complete the system but it will be a good investment for my gaming needs.

Would you recomend any of those? or better? I'm stuck with only £130 every two weeks at the moement.

I can put PC's together but picking the right parts I fail lol

What would you recomend? I will save up for a decent gaming machine as I really need one.

Yea, I think you need to take a bit of time to come up with a PLAN of action. I avoid bundles, as these tend to be end of line products. Plus as Schlack has pointed out, you need DDR3 really.

Have a good hunt on the net and check out the posts on this forum. Bambam has recently upgraded, so check out his specs and a few others here. Im sure you will find something that will be affordable to you and also improve your rig.

There are also some sites that you can build and cost your pc on, these are useful to check compatability with, and then maybe order from various places the same item to save costs...

You also might want to think about upgrading your operating system, if you havent already considered it for yoru new build to Windows 7, 64 Bit. This will help unleash some of the power of your hardware better.

I have Windows 7 on my laptop and it plays CSS with all settings on High =] I love it. I will be going onto Windows 7 on PC too but this machine is too bad for that so it's running Windows XP
