Having trouble with Left 4 Dead

Whenever I enter a new game, this happens :
Any solutions?
And please dfon't tell me tjhat I have to buy a new graphics card

What graphics card do you have?
I'd suggest:
- playing with the Video settings in game
- checking you have upto date video drivers
- if all fails try reinstalling...

happens to me all i do to clear it is shift tab to get the steam friends and it works again. try it
